Sales channels & fees
Where the buyer pays determines how the sale is handled.
Marketplace checkout
Buyer pays through Lorewares, including a shop storefront, shared link or pickup order.
5% commission + 2.9% processing + $0.30 per seller parcel.Lorewares payment, payout and order-resolution workflow. Eligibility rules apply.
Creator partner checkout
A seller’s approved partner rate is active when the Lorewares order is created.
Agreed commission replaces 5%. Standard processing and fulfillment costs still apply, including at 0% commission. The same checkout and order-resolution workflow; the rate covers that seller’s own parcels.
Recorded in-person sale
Seller already collected cash or payment through an external terminal.
No Lorewares commission or processing fee. External provider fees may apply.Inventory and sales record only. No Lorewares payment, payout or marketplace order protection.
Commission and processing apply to merchandise plus buyer-paid shipping, after seller discounts and before sales tax. A Lorewares shop link is still marketplace checkout. Purchasing a shipping label does not add marketplace commission.
Partner terms and offline records
Your partner rate applies to all sales from your shop through Lorewares, no matter how the buyer found you. The portal shows the approved rate and expiry; expired terms return to the standard rate for new orders. Existing orders keep their recorded fees.
Referral links measure visits and orders. They do not change another seller’s fees or create referral compensation. Any compensation requires a separate agreement.
For an offline sale, the seller handles payment, refunds, applicable tax and customer service with their own payment provider. Reversing an inventory receipt does not refund money. These distinctions do not limit rights under applicable law.
Do not redirect a Lorewares checkout or order outside the platform to avoid fees. Legitimate independently arranged card-show and in-person sales may be recorded afterward.

Respond to buyer problems within two business days. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding observed US federal holidays. Deadlines end at 11:59 PM America/Chicago and appear in each case. An overdue response escalates the case to Lorewares; it does not automatically decide the buyer's claim.
Describe each physical copy accurately, keep supporting photos and condition notes, ship to the address on the order, and retain shipment and delivery evidence. Do not ask buyers to close a bank dispute in exchange for a refund. Return instructions must identify the return address, who pays postage, and the requested cards. Buyers should wait for instructions before returning cards. A return or refund never automatically restores inventory.
Refunds are issued through Lorewares to the original payment method, with any applicable store credit restored separately. Seller refund controls apply only to that seller's items and postage. Lorewares reviews escalated cases and chargebacks using the order, messages, photos and delivery evidence. Payment-network decisions remain outside Lorewares' control. These procedures do not limit rights provided by applicable law.
You authorize recovery of documented amounts owed for your orders from unreleased proceeds, reversals of related Stripe transfers, and deductions from future earnings. Each recovery must show its source, amount and remaining balance. An uncertain payment operation stays on hold for reconciliation; amounts must not be collected twice. You may challenge an adjustment in the resolution center. This authorization covers existing documented balances and future orders; it does not authorize new retroactive fees or unrelated bank debits.
Standard and trusted sellers' tracked releases normally become eligible 24 hours after verified delivery. The under-review tier uses seven calendar days. Eligible releases are checked automatically, normally within the next hour; payment availability and provider processing may delay the transfer. Explicit administrator waiting periods take precedence. Untracked economy uses the shared waiting period, initially fourteen days after shipment. Open cases, payment disputes, financial exceptions and documented holds can delay release. These are Stripe balance releases, not guaranteed bank arrival dates.
Fee protection eligibility requires acceptance before the order, verified tracked delivery to the order address, timely cooperation, accurate listing evidence, and no seller-caused issue or policy abuse. Lorewares reviews eligibility per case. Eligible cases may have unrecovered processing or dispute fees covered by Lorewares; card value, postage, and chargeback outcomes are not guaranteed. Until a separate documented allocation is approved, Lorewares bears processor and dispute fees. Historical commission and processing amounts remain visible. Protection never guarantees a sale, payment-network decision, or insurance coverage.
Claim evidence and review — September 16, 2026
For new orders, retain accurate listing and condition records and, especially for valuable cards, clear front/back, certification and protected-packing photos before dispatch. Use the order evidence tool or retain equivalent records. Record the service and tracking, keep receipts and confirm that any insurance covers trading cards at the documented value. Do not represent tracking or a declared value alone as insurance.
Review damage and condition claims against the original order and available buyer, dispatch and return evidence. Record the same-copy comparison, missing evidence, return or inspection disposition, carrier-claim status and a written decision before approving a claim refund. A seller can offer a documented goodwill resolution or waive a return; no automatic refund is caused by opening a case. Proposed denials and suspected substitution or intentional damage should be referred to Lorewares with factual support. Do not label a buyer fraudulent solely because a photo is unavailable or the outer package is intact.
Coordinate carrier inspections before instructing a return. Handle claims for your shipments and cooperate with reasonable evidence requests. Carrier recovery is separate from a buyer’s remedy; do not delay mandatory relief solely while awaiting an insurer. You may be responsible for documented losses on your orders under the accepted agreement and applicable law. This clarification creates no new retroactive fee, unrelated debit or guarantee of insurance or a chargeback outcome. Earlier transactions retain their accepted terms and legal rights.
Marketplace commission — September 17, 2026
For new orders under this fee schedule, standard Lorewares commission is 5% of merchandise plus shipping charged to the buyer, after seller-funded merchandise and shipping discounts and before sales tax. An approved partner percentage applies to that same base; its rate and expiry appear in your seller dashboard. Payment processing remains separate at 2.9% of merchandise plus shipping and $0.30 per seller parcel. There is no listing fee or monthly subscription. Buying a shipping label does not incur an additional marketplace commission.
The commission basis, rate and amount are recorded when an order is created. Existing orders, including pending checkouts, keep their recorded fees and original refund basis. Refunds credit the corresponding portion of commission actually charged on the refunded merchandise and, for orders under this schedule, refunded shipping. Total commission credits cannot exceed the original commission. Payment-processing costs and recovery remain subject to the documented allocation above.
Sales channels — September 17, 2026
Marketplace checkout: A payment through Lorewares is a marketplace transaction, including a seller storefront, shared or creator referral link, and online-paid pickup. Standard commission and processing apply unless an approved seller agreement changes that seller’s commission. Marketplace payment, payout and resolution procedures apply subject to their eligibility rules; protection is not a guarantee of reimbursement.
Creator partnerships: An approved partner rate applies to all of that seller’s own Lorewares checkout parcels while active, regardless of referral source. It replaces the standard commission percentage, not payment processing, postage or fulfillment costs. The seller portal shows the current rate, effective date when recorded, revision and expiry. Expiry returns new orders to the standard rate. The fee schedule and applicable partner revision are saved at order creation; later changes do not reprice existing orders, including pending checkouts. Referral attribution alone neither changes another seller’s fees nor creates referral compensation. Any compensation requires a separate documented agreement.
Recorded in-person sales: This tool records payment already collected in cash or through the seller’s external terminal. Lorewares charges no marketplace commission or processing fee for the record, but external provider fees may apply. Recording the sale updates available inventory and saves a sales record; it does not process or verify payment, create a Lorewares payout, or provide marketplace order protection. The seller handles payment, refunds, applicable tax and customer service through the appropriate provider. Reversing the receipt restores returned stock; it does not refund money. These distinctions do not limit rights under applicable law.
Do not redirect a Lorewares checkout or order outside the platform to avoid fees or misclassify it as an offline sale. Legitimate independently arranged card-show and in-person sales may be recorded afterward. Channels are assigned by the payment workflow, not by a seller-selectable fee setting. Published channel rules are not evidence of a seller’s acceptance; historical orders and acceptances retain their recorded terms.
Lorewares Guarantee — September 24, 2026
Every order paid through Lorewares checkout carries the Lorewares Guarantee. A buyer may report a parcel that did not arrive within 30 days after its latest estimated delivery date, and a wrong, damaged, counterfeit or not-as-described item within 30 days after delivery. When no carrier estimate is recorded, the latest estimated delivery date is ten days after shipment, or fifteen days after payment for a parcel not yet shipped. A verified claim is refunded in full: the affected items, their shipping and applicable tax, with return postage paid when a return is requested. Change-of-mind returns remain under the shop's separate return policy.
Respond within the two-business-day case deadline and resolve verified claims through the resolution center. If a claim is not resolved in time, or Lorewares decides it for the buyer, Lorewares may refund the buyer directly for your items and postage. That refund is recovered under the recovery terms above, except where Lorewares grants guarantee cover.
Guarantee cover means Lorewares pays the refund and recovers nothing from you for that claim. For orders placed after you accept this version, Lorewares covers a claim when you replied by the first deadline and cooperated, did not cause the problem, and: for a parcel that did not arrive, tracking shows delivery to the order address, with a carrier signature record when your parcel for the order totals $250 or more; for a wrong, damaged or not-as-described claim, your dispatch photos and listing records show the copy supplied matched the listing and was packed with reasonable protection. Untracked economy parcels are not eligible for cover. Lorewares reviews eligibility per case and records a written decision; cover does not change fees on the order, and you keep your payout for a covered claim.
Lorewares reviews buyers who report more than two untracked parcels as not received in twelve months before refunding. Guarantee reporting windows do not limit rights provided by applicable law, and a buyer's payment-network dispute follows the dispute terms above rather than the guarantee.
Tracking checks, payout timing and listing prices — September 25, 2026
When you enter or import tracking yourself instead of buying a label through Lorewares, Lorewares may follow that number with the carrier. A carrier delivery scan counts as verified delivery, and your normal tracked release wait runs from that scan. For parcels marked shipped after this version takes effect, if the carrier cannot confirm delivery, the payout becomes eligible after the untracked economy waiting period, counted from shipment. It stays on hold when the carrier reports a return, a failed delivery or a delivery that does not match the order, or when Lorewares places a documented hold, and Lorewares may review payouts released this way. A release is not proof of delivery: guarantee cover for a parcel that did not arrive still requires tracking that shows delivery to the order address.
New and changed prices on regular listings must be at least $1.00 per copy. Add-on-only listings may be priced lower. Existing prices are never changed automatically.
Lorewares Buyer Protection — September 28, 2026
Lorewares Buyer Protection replaces the Lorewares Guarantee for orders placed after you accept this version, and changes the guarantee and payout terms above for those orders as follows. Earlier orders keep the terms they were placed under.
Refunds come from the order's payment. Lorewares holds your payout for each tracked order until seven calendar days after verified delivery, whatever your seller level, in place of the 24-hour release above. While Lorewares reviews your shop (the under-review level), the wait is fourteen calendar days after verified delivery; explicit administrator waiting periods still take precedence. When you do not resolve a verified claim, or Lorewares decides a claim for the buyer, Lorewares refunds the buyer from that payout. A refund decided after your payout is released is recovered under the recovery terms above. Guarantee cover does not apply to these orders: Lorewares does not pay refunds on your orders from its own funds.
Not received: a buyer can report a parcel that tracking shows delivered from 48 hours after the delivery scan, after confirming they checked with their household, neighbors and any mailroom. When tracking shows delivery to the order address, with a carrier signature record when your parcel for the order totals $250 or more, Lorewares settles the report in your favor and no refund is taken from your payout. You may still offer a goodwill resolution.
A wrong, damaged, counterfeit or not-as-described claim is refunded from your payout once verified. Lorewares may ask the buyer to return the item first, and the return postage for a verified claim is part of its cost. Your listing records and dispatch photos are the evidence Lorewares weighs. An untracked economy parcel reported as not received is refunded from your payout, subject to the review of repeated reports above.
